Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Dumai

Judging from the maps and geographical Dumai City to be a potential business because of the central economic and adjacent to developed countries in the world of country of Singapore as a base of free trade in the era of globalization and AFTA, besides that in Dumai City now has many of the mining, processing industry, agriculture, trade and transport, services, banks and other private agencies.

Islamic Education Foundation (YLPI) located in Dumai previously been successfully manage a college-level colleges are: College of Engineering and Industrial Management (ATMI), Dumai, founded since 1985 and to date 200 people have successfully completed a Bachelor of (DIII) program Industrial Engineering and Management, which in general has worked in various industrial enterprises in the town of Dumai and surrounding areas.

Based on field observations have been made in Dumai City and surrounding areas against the companies, both large and small scale as well as other related institutions, they are generally in desperate need of scholars (experts) in particular technical field of Industrial Engineering, Information Engineering and Civil Engineering. This is because until now there is no college in Dumai an open field of study.

Seeing the opportunity at the top and the amount of interest in Dumai and surrounding communities will be engineering-based higher education, the Islamic Education Foundation (YLPI) Dumai founded the Sekolah Tinggi Teknlogi (STT) Dumai Undergraduate Program (S1) consisting of three (3) these excellent courses. Since August 5, 2003 School of Technology has obtained a decree of the minister Dumai No SK: 123/O/D/2003.
